I remember meeting Crystal for the first time when she was just in elementary school. She was best friends with my cousin michelle and had a beautiful voice and ever greater spirit. To her close friends and family who have to continue on in this life without her direct presence, my prayers and love go out to you. May you find some solace in the beautiful memories she has shared with you and so many others during her time here.
Crystal, you will be truly missed ♥️

My deepest condolences to Crystal’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of teaching Crystal in high school and getting to know her through her active participation in the choir and band. She was a bright light at St. Joan of Arc and one of the finest young women I have ever taught. Her musical talent, infectious laugh and commitment to her faith brought life into our school community. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this extremely difficult time. She will be remembered fondly.

I remember Crystal so fondly as her school principal while she was in grade 7 &8 . She was always so much fun to be around . She helped out every day at the school office and she would smile and laugh all the time . When she said that I had a phone call , instead of line 1 , she would say ” lion on 1 “.
I had so much fun being around her . She was a true beauty both inside and out . I am so saddened to have heard this news and know that Heaven is now an even better place to be . Just too early !

Dear Selma, Samson, Clint & Andrea,

We were deeply saddened to hear of your beloved Crystal’s passing.

When a loved one passes on, a cloud turns into an angel and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow. A bird gives the message back to the world, and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry. People disappear, but they never really go away.

May your saddened hearts find peace and comfort in the knowledge that you are never alone. May God grant you and your family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you always.

Yours in sympathy,

Pam & Kevin.

My Eulogy (Samson Furtal – Dad)
On behalf of my wife Selma, Clint my son, Andrea my daughter in law along with her loving uncle Lambert Jackson & aunty Deanne, God parents Dr. Selwyn Noronha, Leena and all other uncles and aunties also all her dear cousins, Roshni, Kiron, Saniya, Benson, Tania, Karl, Johan, Donnie and their better halves, relatives and friends; I am here to say a few words about Crystal. She loved everybody and everybody loved her. She did her schooling in Dubai at School of Knowledge a school of her very loving aunty Deanne a pioneer educationist who groomed her to be the Crystal as we know now. She was the head girl when she left the school in grade six.
In Canada, Crystal completed middle school in St. Fosteena and went on to complete her high school in St. Joan of Arc.
She graduated 12th grade as an honorary roll student and also was awarded the best catholic student of Ontario.
From there she joined University of Toronto St. GEORGE campus and graduated with a double major in political science and philosophy. During her time at UOFT, she also worked part time at RBC and Apple Store to cover her school fees. Once school was completed she joined RBC as a full timer. After seven years of working at RBC she went on to pursue a carrier at vena solutions, a software company in downtown Toronto. She loved working at Vena Solutions. She was very driven and not afraid to take any challenges. She was full of life and had this infectious smile and ability to connect with people instantly. Crystal was extremely talented, ambitious and a very loving daughter. Talking about talents, she had the voice of an angel and could play 5 musical instruments. I could go on and on about my little girl……. she was our pride and joy ……, the light of our lives. She spread joy and happiness wherever she went and left a lasting impact on every one she met. So now it’s time to say good bye to our darling little girl. Crystal you were the best daughter any parent could have. We will forever cherish all our beautiful memories about you. You are a light, no darkness can extinguish. We know that you will be watching over us from above. We all love you more than words can say and no one can fill the vacuum you have created. All our love and prayers are with you when you embark on this journey to join God in his everlasting dwelling place in heaven . Thank you and may your soul rest in God Man Jesus.
Thank you all for attending this ceremony and special thanks to Lambert Jackson and Deanne Jackson who did all the arrangements today. Thank you.
(Dad – Samson Furtal)

Where do I begin?

To tell the story of a love as great as hers…..

With her first look?

As I held her in my arms within the first hour of her birth.

With her first steps?

Crystal growing up in my school during her formative years:

With her first lullaby?

As I played my part in grooming her as a singer, actor and school Headgirl:

To the confident, empowered young lady, she grew up to be.

With her first sacrament?

Her personal relationship with Jesus, her love of her parents and brother.

With my firsts with Crystal?

The excitement of visiting a nightclub/lounge as a senior,

The novelty of a VIP cinema experience with her on Mother’s Day.

An endless list of memories……

Crystal you will always live on in my heart

Perhaps in just another form……

-Aunty Deanne

My deepest condolences to Selma Samson and family. Its still hard to believe I will never get to see Crystal again but will always have good memories. We were in the same team when she worked in RBC and it was always fun to be around her and have our little conversations. I will never forget the time we both devoured 2 platters of sweet potato fries and her encouraging me when she came to climd the stairs. I did not get a chance to spend a lot of time with her but knew Crystal for a very long time. I will never forget how positive she was as a person and how she made an impact on every person including myself. I just loved her energy right from the first time I met. You will always be remembered and loved Crystal.
